Central Campus Dining Hall

Our newest dining hall, located in the heart of campus features rustic open-style kitchens with farm-to-table offers. Plus, home to Discovery Kitchen, a culinary learning lab that provides hands-on cooking classes. 

  • Rise n' Shine is home to Speeder and Earl's coffee, seasonal smoothies, juices and Thomas Dairy milk. Plus, fruit, yogurt, and whole grain cereals and breads. 
  • Fireside "kick starts" the day with a hot cereal bar, breakfast sandwiches and omelets. Then we will ignite your taste buds with handcrafted flatbreads and pizzas, pastas, toasted sandwiches and home comfort favorites. 
  • Beehive Bakery your neighborhood bakery that rises early bringing you wholesome rustic breads, bagels and rolls along with sweet indulgent treats. Let the aroma draw you in and taste what all the "buzz" is about!
  • Sizzle showcasing artisan burgers, veggie burgers, mouthwatering melts and delicious open-faced sandwiches all cooked to perfection. Plus, hand cut fries, house-cooked potato chips and roasted potatoes all grown just for UVM. 
  • The Club is where you meet up for heartwarming soups and hand-crafted sandwiches. The Club features housemade spreads, house-roasted local meats stacked high on fresh baked breads with local cheeses and, locally sourced ingredients with available. 
  • Global Plate your destination for chef-carved rotisserie favorites, sizzling dishes from our Tandoori oven, wood flavors fro our in-house smoker to fusion of flavors coming off the wok. Go ahead, heighten your senses and travel to new worlds with international inspired cuisine with deep roots in local and regional flavors. Plus, nutrient packed vegan offerings.
  • From the Fields, cultivate your own salad creation with ingredients harvested locally, when ever possible, right from the fields. Give your salad a boost and dress it up with our flavor packed housemade dressings and toppings. Or turn up the heat and create your own sizzling salad. Plus, local yogurts, fruit and a daily vegan soup option. 
  • Exploration Station is a state of the art interactive demonstration kitchen. The station fluctuates between being a teaching space supporting the Discovery Kitchen's programming to offering samples and meals for all to enjoy.
  • Discovery Kitchen is a culinary learning lab that provides experiential education by exploring new flavors and foods in the areas of sustainability, health and culture. The Discovery Kitchen engages and inspires students to learn to cook and discover the world of foods through formal and casual programming. 
  • My Zone is self-service pantry designed to provide a safe environment for those with the following dining needs or diets: gluten free, lactose free and peanut free. It's complete with a dedicated toaster, microwave and refrigerator, separate utensils and cutting boards and gloves.  
  • Simple Servings provides safe appetizing food choices for customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or other special dietary needs. Simple Servings offers simply prepared foods made without the most common allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products, and eggs. In addition, all foods are made without gluten. Although foods are prepared in a facility which uses these ingredients, we take great measures to ensure against the possibility of cross-contamination. Separate equipment, utensils, storage areas, and preparation areas minimize this risk, offering customers a safe and healthy dining option.
  • Resident EcoWare Take-Out program allows students to use their EcoWare to take food to-go from any of the main service lines for breakfast and lunch. First year students are issued a complementary EcoWare memberships to encourage a transition to a culture of reusables on campus.
